A No-Kill All Breed Dog Rescue

KD needs some TLC.

KD

KD has suffered from lameness since March. She had numerous x-rays, medication and limited activity. A visit to the Canine Fitness Centre showed three left ribs out, a hip out, decreased muscle mass in left hind, inability to turn her head to the left and stiffness/soreness on the left side of her back. It is suspected that KD was hit with something prior to coming into our care to cause this damage.

About Misty Creek Dog Rescue
Founded in 1998 as a no-kill shelter, Misty Creek Dog Rescue is one of many volunteer-run shelters in Western Canada shouldering the burden of the thousands of animals who are abandoned, abused or surrendered every year. Misty Creek Dog Rescue takes in dogs from pounds, reserves, other shelters and voluntary owner surrenders providing them with medical care, vaccinations, and behavioural training with the aim of finding them forever homes. Because of the strict no-kill mandate, dogs may stay at the shelter for years until they are successfully placed with a suitable family. Working closely with foster home volunteers, they have saved over 2300 dogs.
