Our condolences to the Teitz Family
Jhettsu was a 10-11 year old Mixed breed, neutered male. He came to us through the animal control division of Misty Creek. His owner would not pay the fines to get him back after he was found running at large and enjoying everyone’s garbage. We were told they didn’t want him back – a prime example of poor pet ownership responsibility.
He was then adopted in October, 2009 by the loving Teitz Family. Understanding Jhettsu only had a few years left, they took him home. Recently, they contacted us to let us know he had passed on to the Rainbow Bridge.
“I’m sadly writing to let you know that we had Jets put down. He really deteriorated this past winter.
We enjoyed our last days with him, and you will not be surprised to know that his appetite held strong to the end. Even at the vet’s office on his last day he gobbled down as many dog cookies as we could give him. I gave him a last meal of chicken sausage and turkey lunch meat.
Thank you ladies for being a part of his life. He was so fortunate to be rescued by Misty Creek, and then fostered by Erika until we got him. I think his last years on earth were probably some of his happiest, and I’m glad we got to be a part of that.”
