Meet Bobby, he is a 1 year old, neutered male. He is mid sized, looks like a lab mix and from Mexico. Bobby is good with other dogs, cats, and kids. He is a little shy but warms up fast and is quite a mellow guy. He does fine in the home and is just a lovely boy to have around.
Hola, I’m Blanca ( It means White, for you English folk ) haha I am a 5 year old Mixed breed all the way from Mexico! I’ve spent my whole life in the shelter, so it was pretty awesome to get out! At first I thought these white mountains you guys have were super cool, till I tried to climb one, way less cool when it tried to eat me. But I’ve learned that if I stay out of the white piles, I can actually enjoy my walks. I prefer to walk pretty close to you, sometimes too close that when I stop you might trip over me, but it’s better then pulling right? I’ve been told I have a nose of a hound, I love smelling.. well, everything. My inside manners are pretty on point! I was good enough to get my very own comfy bed, so I think that means I’m doing something right!! I have had no accidents in the house & I really just prefer to lay at the window and watch people go by. I have no interest at barking at people, it seems like too much work. We are still currently working on my tricks, but if you have a treat in your hand I’m very good to sit & shake a paw. When I feel like I need some of your attention, I’ll extend the same paw in hopes you’ll love me! My crate is my friend, and don’t mind sleeping all night in my safe place! Overall, I’m a super chill girl who likes some pets, loves my walks and enjoys sleeping even more!
Meet Roberta, she is a 5 year old, smaller – mid sized spayed female. She is off the streets of Mexico and looks something like a beagle and pug mix. She is fine with other dogs but she is lower energy and does not play much. She is ok with cats, and calm around kids. She is a mellow lady that likes to chill out, go for a walk or snuggle. She is well mannered in the home and loves attention.
Pablo is a 3 year old, neutered male. He loves his people and to be with you all the time, he is fostered with Emma who is buddy but came from the streets of Mexico. He is mid sized, and a mixed breed
Emma is a sweet, and happy girl that loves people. She is mid sized, still has some energy, and about 5 years old. She is spayed, mixed breed. Loves to be with her people.
Pecas is a sweet and playful young hound dog. She is good with other dogs and is a mid sized dog. Pecas is a 2 year old, spayed female, mixed breed from Mexico.
Tessa, was adopted as a puppy and has come back to us still looking for a forever home. She is a spayed, 1 year old Lab mix, female. She is a large dog and has a beautifully soft and curly coat. Great with other dogs, ok with older kids and just a nice, quiet, little lady. This girl is timid and takes some time to bound and trust but once she does she just wants to cuddle and sit with you. She likes to play outside, does fine with cats and is house and crate trained.
Emmet is a 1 year old Lab type. Really friendly dog who loves to play and has a fair amount of energy. He is a big boy, loves people and other dogs and would love dog buddy to play with!
Muneca is a doll, a little timid at first but comes around in time. She is a 3 year old, spayed female, mixed breed, she is the larger side of medium and looks like a little bit of collie is in her. She would love to be adopted with another dog as she needs a best bud! She has been ok with the dogs she has met in foster and been fine with the cat. She is well mannered in the home and very affectionate. This happy girl lives to please and will make a great dog for someone.
Meet Sammie, a 3 year old shepherd surrendered to the pound of Cardston. Sammie is a beautiful girl, curious and ready for adventure. She is happiest out on a hike or finding a nice body of water to dunk her paws in. Sammie is a beautiful girl who has been looking for her forever home for way too long! She’s been in a foster home more recently, and it’s just crazy that a loving person or family hasn’t snatched her up yet! She impresses everyone she meets with her bouncy and friendly demeanour and amazing athletic feats! (She can JUMP!!) She’s maybe 60ish lbs, house trained, barks sometimes when excited to go outside (but responds well to correction), is very snuggly, crate trained, knows all her basic obedience and a few extras like “paw”, “wait”, “leave it”, and even “go to bed” ! Sammie has great recall, although she is born to run and loves to chase and hunt when she’s outside or with small animals, so that should be considered for any potential home. Sammie cannot be left alone or unsupervised in a fenced yard, she will absolutely escape every time by jumping over it, no matter how high! She plays awesome with other dogs. She and her foster sister wrestle most of the day and she’s made many of the same friends while here in our home. She’s very energetic and we’re working on loose leash walking but she will need ongoing leash work and plenty of exercise to be a well balanced girl. An awesome fit for her could be an acreage with no small animals (she will chase them), where she can be inside and outside with her people. Her forever family should also be familiar with dogs and catching and handling visual cues for intervention, as she can be reactive when on leash and can rub some dogs the wrong way at the beginning because of this. However all of her behaviour is manageable when she’s getting appropriate exercise and ongoing socialization and correction, with positive reinforcement. She learns VERY fast and just wants to please. She’s a very special girl (just look at that face!!) please come and meet her to play a game of fetch!
