Lux (Jasmine)
Lux and her siblings were found on the reserve, cold and hungry. She is a female and healthy. Lux is a 6 month old border collie cross puppy. She and her Sister Tillie are best buds. Lux loves to be out-side and is more calm and very lay-back. Both are extremely smart, well trained and behavoured. They are good with cats, dogs and kids. They are a very special and lovable couple together, we would love to see someone take them both, or a special home for each. To watch her in action, check out her blog

Nevada
Nevada is a a large, mixed breed puppy. She is very active and while she is working on her manners she is still learning. She is healthy, up to date on shots and roughly 4 months old. Nevada is good with other dogs, she is also house-trained, but as a puppy still needs to be let outside consistently. She is a very smart little girl, and picks up on things very quickly

Fiona
Princess Fiona, is soooo sweet! She can be a quiet shy at first but once she knows you she is just a little doll! Fiona is aprox 3 years old. A Miniture poodle mix. Spayed/microchipped female from LA. She is easy going, LOVES people, great with small dogs and cats. She does not like big dogs and would not do well in a home with a dog bigger than her.

Kayro
Kayro is a mixed breed puppy. She really likes her bones and chew toys and plays very nice with my 2 dogs. She doesn’t do too bad either. She is a really good girl hasn’t chewed up anything in my house

Shayla
Shayla is a sweetie! Very small and delicate she is a little princess. She is a 5 year old chihuahua cross. She is spayed and healthy. She seems indifferent to other dogs and loves her people. She loves to be picked up and snuggle close to keep warm.

Pebbles
Pebbles is a 6 year old, spayed, female, miniature pinscher. She is a very cute girl who loves to cuddle be around her people! She is good with other dogs and cats. She also walks well on leash and off leash. Pebbles would prefer a calmer household as she tends to be a bit jumpy/nervous.

Tia
Tia is a 2 year old Chihuahua mix, spayed female. She came to us from a high kill shelter in Los Angeles

Cristal
Cristal is a 3 year old Chihuahua x Daschund, spayed female. Very playful girl. Likes kids and most other dogs. She came to us form a high kill shelter in California.
Cristal is in our shelter and would love to be in a foster home in the Calgary area. Consider fostering a dog for Misty Creek.

Keely
Keely is a 6 month old Mixed breed, spayed female. Keely came to us from Montana. She was one of the dogs that was trapped and would have been left there to be shot if she had not been taken in by rescue. She is a great pooch, but very much a puppy and can get into trouble. She is well mannered and loves to go for walks!

London
London is a 6-7 year old German Shepherd, spayed female. She came to us from a Montana reserve where she had been trapped and left in the cage until someone would come for her. If someone had not gone to get her, she would have been shot. Definitely want a home with Shepherd experience and someone who knows this breed. She becomes very bonded to her owner. Is ok with other dogs but would do better as the only dog.

Kennedi
Kennedi is a 4 month old Lab x, female. She was also found with Roper and tied with a chain. She is a happy girl, a little scared. We found out recently that owner was not very nice to her at all. Not much of a surprise since they moved and left their animals behind to fend for themselves.

Matsu
Matsu is a female, medium-sized mixed breed. Born August 17, 2009. She was rescued with her mom, Scrunchie, at 3 days old. She has been with us for a year now and still awaiting her forever home. She is house trained, crate trained, good with dogs, cats and older kids. Matsu suffers from an auto immune disorder which accelerates the growth of her pads, daily foot soaks are necessary for comfort and prevention.

Sparky
Sparky is a 6 month old spayed female, small to medium sized yellow Labrador Retriever cross. She came to us from a high kill shelter in the US. Sparky is super enthusiastic and expresses it with a lovely little bounce. She is very affectionate and likes to cuddle or lay her head in your hand or lap. She is good with other dogs and has been good with the children she has met. She is crate trained and house trained and will share toys and food. She knows “sit” and is working on “come” but her real passion is retrieving and dropping the ball at your feet. She also likes a good swim and will get her ball out of any water.

Nicki
Nicki is a five year old spayed female Husky/German Shepherd cross, approximately 60 lbs. She lived in a home with 2 adults and 2 cats, and was surrendered because they were moving to no pet housing. Nicki is house trained and walks nice on leash. She also loves to play fetch all the time. She interacts well with the two resident dogs and is very calm and friendly with the resident kids.
She also knows lots of commands: Sit, Down, Come, Shake, Rollover, Fetch, Speak, Go long, and Stay left (on a bike)

Tess
Tess is a 4 year old female spayed Shih Tzu who came in to Misty Creek as an owner surrender. Her previous owners felt they did not have enough time for this sweet soul.
She is a tiny little girl with a big heart. She really likes cats and gets along with every dog she has encountered so far. Tess is excellent with a 2 year old, and seems to love all people in general. Her favorite are people who want to hug and pet her. She really LOVES her people and loves to be held and cuddled.
She adapts to her surroundings extremely quickly and is excellent on the leash. She likes to be carried and to snuggle on the couch in her spare time.
She has been freshly groomed where she became a favorite right away in the shop. She has spent a day at doggy daycare where she played very well with others. For a small dog she is very calm even around the two resident large black labs.

Bella
Bella is a 1 year old female Labrador Cross who came back to Misty Creek as an owner surrender. She is a very friendly and fun loving dog. She loves daily walks and needs positive activities to keep her busy. She loves kids, almost too much sometimes, and can frighten kids who are not used to big dogs.

Lila
Lila is a female Pit Bull Mix, 1 year old. She was put in the drop box at the shelter in Idaho. She is a sweet, well behaved dog.

Carrie is a one year old female mixed breed that came to us from the recent Spay/Neuter clinic. She is a very sweet dog who loves kids.

Lily
Lily is a 1-2 year old spayed female, possibly Border Collie Pitt cross, approximately 50 lbs. Lily came to us from a Wyoming shelter that was closing down. She is a great girl that loves to play with other dogs. She is quite well mannered and loves to please. Lily is house trained, knows how to sit and shake a paw, is very food motivated and loves to cuddle. She is crate trained and will happily lay in her crate throughout the day. She is good with kids, mild playful interest in cats, is very loyal and quick to bond.
