About Zane
What can we say about Zane other than smart, handsome, patient, and affectionate! Zane is a beautiful, large breed German Shepherd cross who is up to date on his vetting needs. Zane is cuddly but playful. He enjoys being around his humans and will be right by your side wherever you go. He is house trained and is trusted to wander around the house when his foster parents aren’t home and when they are asleep. He is a good listener and follows the house rules, just make sure to close the toilet lid, because he prefers toilet water over his water bowl at times. He loves belly rubs, bum scratches, naps, exploring outside, and being brushed. He does very well with friends and children who visit his foster house. Zane will never pick a fight with other dogs, but he will match the aggression of a dog if approached in an aggressive manner. He has already befriended quite a few of neighborhood dogs in the week that he has been at his foster house, but he barks if any dogs approach the house. He knows basic commands (sit and shake) and is very treat motivated. His foster family is currently teaching him the command “quiet”, and he is learning it very quickly. They have no doubt that he will be completely responsive to “quiet” very soon. Zane dislikes aggressive dogs and small skittish animals such as cats and wild hares. He sits very well for baths, but his foster family knows he isn’t a fan. Overall, Zane’s foster family thinks that he is a sweet and lovable boy and is so deserving of his furever family!
